Black Bodies and the Justice of God

Come join author, professor and Episcopal Priest Kelly Brown Douglas for a conversation that will inspire and prepare you for the work of reconciliation.  

Known as a leader in the field of womanist theology, racial reconciliation and sexuality and the black church, Kelly Brown Douglas will be sharing from her research, writing and work.

Everyone is invited to this event, no need to RSVP.

The event starts at 5:30 with a talk and Q and A.  At 7pm there will be a celebration of the Eucharist, with ECMN Bishop Prior as Celebrant and Kelly Brown Douglas as preacher.  Afterwards there will be refreshments along with a reception and book signing. This event is sponsored by St. Davids Episcopal Church, St. John the Evangelist, St. Mark's Cathedral and ECMN.

An offering will be taken during the Eucharist, with proceeds benefiting Circle of the Beloved, which promotes kinship across lines of difference.

9th Annual Abrahamic Traditions Dinner

The 9th Annual Abrahamic Traditions Dinner in the Twin Cities will bring community members from different cultures, religions, and experiences together to share the joy of friendship and universal values to learn the art of living together. This year’s topic is “How does our faith instruct us to respond to discrimination, bullying, and hate speech and action?”

More than 100 people from all walks of life of diverse communities, religions, and organizations will come together to share how their faiths lead people to stand against in discrimination and bullying. 

Guests share a meal and speakers share the perspectives of their faiths on a single question.  During the program, guests are invited to talk about the question, and others, at their tables.

Check in for the event starts at 6:00; dinner and program will start at 6:30 pm and end 9:00 pm. United’s Chaplain John Lee will be praying and performing at this event.

The event is open to the public and there is no cost for the dinner but registration is required.   Please register at the link:
